Testing

The flow rate of the peristaltic pump is controlled by a digital input value. The pump was run for 10 seconds at each value while the output was recorded via uroflowmetry. The relationship between the input value and flow rate was then defined.
The 4 input values that were closest to 30, 40, 50, and 60 ml/min were selected and the pump was run for a minute on each.

The pump was set to each of the 4 input values identified (30, 40, 50, and 60 ml/min) and run for a minute. The volume infused measurement was recorded.
Results

The theoretical pump rates of 30, 40, 50, and 60 𝑚𝑙/𝑚𝑖𝑛 recorded outputs of 31.5±7.5𝑚𝑙/𝑚𝑖𝑛, 40.5±8.9𝑚𝑙/𝑚𝑖𝑛, 51.2±8.0𝑚𝑙/𝑚𝑖𝑛, and 59.5±8.5𝑚𝑙/𝑚𝑖𝑛

The theoretical volumes infused for the 4 volumes infused at one minute recorded outputs of 28.89𝑚𝑙, 39.5𝑚𝑙, 49.9𝑚𝑙, and 59.4𝑚𝑙.
