Th systems has been split into three sub-systems which acquire the data, a control system that coordinates data collection and then transmits the data to the connected computer.

The system control manages all of the data collection and transmission via a main board PCB.

The pressure measurement sub-system measures the bladder and abdominal pressures. Click on the image below to see the pressure measurement design information.

The Uroflowmetry sub-system measures the volume and flow rate of fluid voided. Click on the image below to see the Uroflowmetry design information.

The fluid infusion sub-system measures the volume and flow rate of fluid infused. The pump drives the fluid infusion, the control system contains circuitry that allows the infusion flow rate to be set and maintained. Click on the image below to see the fluid infusion design information.

Performance criteria from the ICS equipment guidelines have been used to assess the functionality of the low-cost urodynamics machine. The system was designed to incorporate low-cost components that are readily available. Visit the component list webpage to see the total spend.
